Yoga : Red Indian Twisting |
Red Indian Twisting Stand up straight, feet together, arms folded and held out before the chest as we have seen the proud Red Indians do in films. Exhaling, twist slowly to the right, keeping the legs and pelvis steady. Stay six seconds at the limit of the twist; then slowly return to facing forward, inhaling as you do so. Then twist to the left, exhaling. Again a pause of six seconds before you return slowly to the starting position, inhaling. Red Indian Twisting limbers the spine, and trims and tones the muscles that girdle the waistline. |
