Pumping

Lie flat on the back, the arms by the sides with the palms of the hands turned up, the feet together or slightly apart. Relax completely. Give all your attention to the abdomen in this exercise: shoulders, arms, legs - all other body parts in effect - stay immobile and relaxed. Take a rapid deep breath, thrusting out the abdominal wall; then immediately expel the air from the lungs in an exhalation as rapid as the preceding inhalation, at the same time pulling the extent to which you can lean back without toppling over.

The Buttocks Balance Posture limbers the hips, strengthens and firms the arms, legs, abdomen, hips, and back, improves balance, and tones up the nervous system. It also stimulates the circulation, aids digestion, and corrects constipation.
